The Dichotomy

Have you ever been in a dichotomy? Life is full of them. For me, writing is a dichotomy. Believe me, I love to write, but it’s how and what I write that creates the dichotomy.

I promised at the start of the year to keep this site less about me and more about creativity. I also promised to keep posts short and easy to digest. It’s a simple format and perhaps quite effective for the reader who wants a short motivational read. But damn if it doesn’t get a bit old as a writer.

There is a part of this writer who wants to write longer works about things other than the creative journey. See where we are? Stuck right back in the “blog” format. Always stick to your niche. Why shouldn’t I write more lengthy articles about a greater variety of topics?

Still, I hesitate. This site is supposed to be a showcase for my music and poetry. Writing posts and essays was only meant to be an occasional thing. I guess you can’t stop the writer from writing.

As usual, I have no clue what might come next. It’s a dichotomy. – dse
