Dan Steven Erickson started writing songs as a kid and he never stopped. He's written more than 1500 songs and he's studied under Rodney Crowell, Joe Henry, and Mike Reid. Growing up in the 1970s, Paul Simon, Carole King, James Taylor, and Jackson Browne were his idols. In time, Dan discovered and studied John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, Randy Newman, Leonard Cohen and countless others. In 2018, Dan started experimenting with electronic music and that led to ambient and drone projects including, Anderhill, and A Cult of Lies.

Dan recently started a second website specifically reserved for his poetry and other writings. GLITC.SH will be the home for his poetry, novellas, and readings. Cult Boy, a book about a Dan's childhood and how he escaped and helped to bring down a cult, will publish on June 9, 2026.
