Requiem for a Stillborn Angel

First released in May, 2021, this 7-track EP is intensely personal. After composing He Called Himself Michael, I decided to tackle another extremely emotional topic through music: the loss of a child. Requiem for a Stillborn Angel was written in remembrance of my firstborn daughter who was stillborn at midterm during the pregnancy.

My goal was to represent the sadness and turmoil that one feels when losing a baby. As I created this music, I was reliving the days leading up to the death of my daughter, Angel Hope. I relived the memorial and the feelings that went with the whole experience. I believe the music reflects some of the emotions I felt at the time. – dse
