Released in March of 2020, The Empty Crowd marked the beginning of living in a world with COVID. The music reflects the situation. While the Anderhill sound remains, there’s something a bit more haunting about this EP. You can hear the fear and social isolation in the compositions.
In 2020, COVID-19 gave me a lot of time to create. I experiment more with both darker sounds and orchestration. This is the work that started an even deeper willingness to push my musical boundaries. – dse
