Someone asked the question, “What do you think Jesus felt in his final hour on the cross?” I can’t imagine. But I decided to compose a piece of music that attempts to express how I might think he felt. The Final Hour is an 8-minute single that I also later include on the album, The Long Wait.
The music is both eerie and hopeful. I know, it’s an odd combination, but that’s something I like to do. Eerie because there must have been a very dark aura that day. But hopeful because… well, you know the story. – dse
