I’ve not written any new poetry for awhile. This is normal. Just as songwriting can wax and wane, so can poetry. Until the most recent poem post “Broken Arrow,” which is actually an old lyric, every poem on this site has been written in real time. However, to keep the poems page updated, I’m going to start pulling some poems from my archives.
Last year, I started experimenting with adding short audio files to the poetry posts. I recently purchased a new USB micrphone and will soon start working on audio clips for each poem that I post here. Reading poetry is its own practice. It’s something I want to work to improve upon.
Adding audio files will help to better my reading skills. I hope you might enjoy the poetry readings, too. – dse
