We always hear the term personal growth thrown around. It’s often used among the entrepreneurial crowd, often a reflection on success and money. I think of it a bit differently.
To me, personal growth is all about art and life. My goal isn’t to become popular, rich, or famous. I simply want to practice my art and get better at it every day. I want to live life, not just go through the motions. Creating unique and interesting art goes hand in hand with a well-lived life. Travel, exploration, experience: these are all keys to becoming a better artist and a better person.
I don’t care if my website gets more visitors each month. Selling music and books is not my top priority. Becoming a better artist and writer is my idea of personal growth. Exploring new avenues of creativity is my idea of personal growth. Being happy is my idea of personal growth. – dse
