When I get tired of the constant buzz of the Internet, I can always come here. It’s my quiet corner. I don’t care how many other people can see me or hear me over here. I’m happy just posting my thoughts and music for myself and the few who find their way.
Today’s Internet-based world is too much for me. It’s enough that I have to work online until we can take off the required coronavirus masks. Add the marketing and advertising and emails, and it makes me want to scream. Then add the technical glitches. . .
I’m glad I have my quiet corner. This week, my old site anderhillmusic.com will be disappearing from the Internet. Next spring, danerickson.net and cowboyzen.net are both going to fade away. Then in November, hipdiggs.com will go. Then this will be it: my quiet corner. In time, I’ll be slowing how much I do here as well. That’s been part of the plan from the start. – dse
