Merry Christmas from Maine

Christmas in Maine

Merry Christmas! I’m back in Maine for the holidays. It’s been a great year. Well, it’s been a lot better than some years. Lots of changes.

I went from teaching full-time at Yakima Valley College to teaching part-time. Then I tried delivering mail for the USPS. That didn’t work. Finally, I accepted a position as an academic advisor at Volunteer State Community College in Tennessee. So far, I love the new position.

I had to separate ways, teaching as an adjunct at Southern Maine Community College and the University of New Hampshire. I also left the footwear department at Cabela’s, but who knows, I might be back in a couple of years. I hope everyone knows how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to work at each of these organizations.

I still have my condo in Maine and my daughter and sister are renting it out while I hang my hat in the Nashville region for now. Annie is doing good. She is still serving tables and taking courses at Southern Maine Community College.

As for creativity, it’s always happening. I’ve currently have a couple of dozen new songs in the works for the new year. I’ve grown a bit tired of predicting what I’ll do next, so I’ll just leave it at that.

I hope you all have a blessed and happy holiday season. Let’s hope 2025 brings good things. – dse
