My name is Dan Steven Erickson and I’m a songwriter. I’ve been writing songs all of my life. It’s innate. I can’t not write songs. I’ve written over 1200 songs. I’ve studied the methods of the great songwriters. I’ve made a point to constantly write better songs, deeper songs.

Songwriting isn’t all I do. I just love to create stuff. I also compose ambient music, write poetry, books, and do some photography. I love to share what I do and inspire others to become creators, too.

I’m currently living in the Nashville region and working as an academic advisor at Volunteer State Community College. I have two daughters, Annie and Angel. I’m a few years away from retirement and hope to do more photography as I have more time.
